Search Hong Kong companies on the Companies Registry e-Services Portal, where the name search and document index are free. A Company Particulars Search costs HK$22 per company, and document images cost HK$9 to HK$21. There is no central beneficial ownership register: each company keeps a Significant Controllers Register open only to specified law enforcement officers. Companies are identified by the CR No. and, since 27 December 2023, the Unique Business Identifier (UBI).

- What to know before a KYB check
- Directors and shareholders appear in the paid Company Particulars report and in annual return images, not in the free name search. Use the Registry's CR No. to BRN mapping when matching older records to the UBI.
