Check Portuguese companies with a certidão permanente, an online subscription from IRN to the live commercial register record, which costs €25 for one year. Company act publications are searchable on publicacoes.mj.pt. Beneficial owners are in the RCBE, which Decreto-Lei 115/2025 opens to anyone with a legitimate interest as well as to obliged entities and authorities. An older official RCBE guide still describes free public consultation of limited data.

- What to know before a KYB check
- A certidão permanente access code gives round-the-clock online access to the live registry record for the subscription period and is the standard KYB document. RCBE data does not constitute proof of the entity's legal situation ('não constitui prova da situação jurídica da entidade').
