- What an official extract contains
- Plain and certified copies of filed documents, including certificates of incorporation, articles of organization and amendments. Electronic copies can be ordered online for entities formed or authorized in New York on or after 30 July 1990; written requests are also available. A Certificate of Status is a separate written-request service.
- What to know before a KYB check
- DOS does not keep officer or shareholder information, so New York records identify neither owners nor directors beyond an optional CEO line. A Certificate of Status can be requested only in writing.
